modded Maxped Lunada load out- pic heavy

the fit and feel of the one strap gearslingers is definitely a "love it" or "hate it"...it isn't a popular carry design with women...i got a malaga and monsoon and if not overpacked they carry nice on me...

thanks gents :)

^ I think that is big part of the equation, overloaded they probably wouldn't be a lot of fun, w/ a reasonable load and a little adjusting works well for me

Exactly.....Its just not meant for that. I think thats why some guys dont "get it".... For a nice EDC bag, or minimalist daypack, they are fantastic. I love mine. With the added strap, its even comfy on the bike.

However, when they are overloaded, I can see it suckin.

Having the 1 shoulder strap, does it not dig in your shoulder at the end of a long hike?

I really like this concept but I am a bit worried about comfort... I'm still hesitating to pull the plug on one of these gearslingers...

it's moreso security for me, than pressure. I like feeling balanced and knowing my pack isn't flopping around everywhere when I'm moving. for the money you can buy a Kelty Map, which is a glorious 3500ci MOLLE daypack. I think I'd spring for one of those first. I love the organization and possibilities, but that single strap throws me way off.

I've done several day hikes and several snow shoe trips (5-15 miles) and no digging in for me- the shoulder strap is pretty wide and well padded

the idea of the clip on the crossover strap is a good one as swapping shoulders would only be two simple clicks away

again, I think if you overload these little packs you might end up disappointed

I have looked at these and managed not to buy one although they seem nice. The one strap pack makes it easier to carry a rifle over your other shoulder and to shoot a rifle/shotgun while still having the pack on.

Been using a Maxpedition Malaga almost exclusively for day-hikes. The cross strap really helps to keep things in place. Not a bit of flopping. Then again, if you thrash around wildly when you walk, you might have a different experience. ;)

Awesome setup! I'd say you've got the bases covered in a surprisingly small package.
Now, where do I get me a pair of them pants?
