Good evening - I have a modded Spyderco friction folder with a hot spot ( the pointed section of the handle it is supposed to seperste your fingers but doesn't act as a guard or really secure your grip it feels weird because it makes ( made) the handle in even considering there is a recessed part of the handle on the opposite scale for your index finger to rest.
I took a file to the high part of the handle any google image will show what I filed off then sanded down. I really just evened up the scales - the thumb hole can now be accessed by a left handed person if needed and looks more symmetrical.
FYI there is a letter " B " on the blade done by the Spyderco factory - no box
