Had a forum member here get on my list a while back who wanted a model 1 without a swedge or jimping. He was just looking for a nice clean and simple blade with black g-10 and orange liners. Here is the result. I wasn't sure I was going to like it without a swedge but it turned out ok I think. Started out as .156" thick Elmax powdered stainless, heat treated by Peters to 60-61 RC, flat ground with stainless hardware.

Thanks for lookin!

Nice work, my friend. And you know from our recent chat, I am all about living in a jimp free world.:D

Often I find when I simplify my designs the results are pretty nice.

That's a nice looker Johnny!

Yeah, I figured you'd like it this way;) Doesn't mean I'm switchin' over altogether though!:D

Thanks guys!

Looking really good, Jonny. That ElMax is nice stuff, eh?

You should trademark that phrase. ;) I'm a citizen of that planet, too.

Super clean as always. Are the scales bead blasted?

Jonny, I've always liked your clean grind lines. Do you use a jig or is that freehand?

I use a bubble jig from Fred Rowe to set my bevels at about 10 degrees, but after that it's all freehand.

Ben, yes I did bead blast the handles.
