this is the knifemaker's wife- don't know quite why this one is still for sale....yall wanted 'em bigger and by God, IT IS! Cool thing was, I have an average hand, so I didn't think it would feel good, but it fit great. Eddie's got a wider hand my Dad's hand is even bigger and it fit him just perfect, too. That's got to be the way the finger grooves are in the handle, the way they taper. Anyway, you gotta feel it to believe it.

i feel better. thanks!

Very SHARP looking knife ! i have bought too many knives in the last month, and it is only with great restraint that i am not buying it, 'cause i really like it.
love to hold it, total "no nonsense" knife. roland

chuck! that's great man! thanks a million. what's your I-trader 1 thing mean?

this one's sold for sure guys! I'm marking it.
thanks,
eddie

ps. now i see everybody's got a mark beside them. gotta call the pc expert.

Bad time to be broke- Good score Teacher.
Could you take that blade shape & shrink it down to 3 7/8"?

i think if you make a couple more like this, perhaps different sizes, it would make us knife buyers happy, and time to save up. roland

to rugger and procter and all- this is just the beginning of the model 13 fighters. i'll sure throw some different sizes into the mix. thanks all! again, this one's sold to the teach.

Great news- I've had my eye on one of those for a while now.

It got here a few minutes ago Eddie... what can I say ???? :D

A Beautiful knife .... fit and finish superb. That Black & Orange G-10 is really nice !!! It is kinda like a wood grain effect to me.... BEAUTIFUL.

If you guy's don't have at least one of Eddie's knives...
...............you better get on the stick.... "time is a wastin' ..." :D

Thank's again Eddie....

Well, I got to "Coon-finger" this one today. My bud Chuck was kind enough to share his new acquisition with this old country boy.

I must say Eddie, you "done-good". While the grind on the blade was super, I was most impressed by the fit and finish on the handle. That Black/Orange G-10 is some very nice stuff. The photo does not show the true colors of this stuff. I am impressed.

I have two questions..........

#1....... Where did you get the G-10?

#2....... What are you using and how are you shaping this stuff? The grinds on that handle material are as near perfect as any I have seen.

Thanks in advance for any tips you could pass on to us lowly wanna-beees.

Great Score Chuck.

Robert,
It's always cool when another maker likes what I do and I thank you for that, man.
1. Most of my G-10's and Micartas, I get from Sheffield in Florida.
2. I shape the handle on a 2 1/2 X 48 belt grinder that has a flat plat and the front wheel is a 6 inch felt. I do all my handle-shaping on the top of the grinder and do my finish touchups with the front, like the bevels and knocking the edges off. I usally go from 60-grit to 220grit on the grinder. then i just hand-sand the edges and then buff or put a satin finish on it, usually. hardly ever go beyond 400-grit. alot of the times my final handle finish is 220.

about the lowly wanna-bees...glad to know there's more keeping the trade alive.
thanks,
eddie

ps. just took a quick look at your website...site looks great and so do your knives! great work from what I see.

Thanks Eddie,

I may be wrong, but I think that "felt" may be the key. The felt is somewhere between a hard rubber wheel and a slack belt. Makes sense to me.

I'm gonna have to get with Ann at Sheffields. I usually buy from them at the Blade Show in Atlanta, but have never ponied up for one of their catalogs.

Thanks for the comments on my website. I try, and that's all a guy can do.

Keep up the good work my friend. I am impressed.

Robert
