Models, Tang-Types, Steel Thicknesses, & Weights

Hey guys, earlier I was checking the weights on some of my similar sized knives, and I got to thinking. It may be helpful to the new folks looking to pick up Fiddleback knives if we pitched in on a thread with photos of various models, along with their specs and weights. We all seem to enjoy coming up with new ways to show our Fiddlebacks, and I thought this could be a show place and help with research for people looking for specific sizes and weights all at the same time. I know we all love to chat, about our knives and in general, it is one of the things I love about this group. To make this thread more effective as a research tool, I'd like to ask that in order to chat you add some/a pic(s) and the specs of at least one your Fiddleback knives per post (to start with anyway, who knows what will happen once we have most of them listed ). If we only do one knife per post, it will give us more opportunities to chat I start off with the Bushcrafter I have

This is a great idea! I have a spreadsheet with this info for my knives. I weigh every knife and store all of the details in the spreadsheet. I'll post a few later today or tomorrow.

Cool. I was hoping a few people would join in. So far I am using pics I already had, but may need to take some specific ones for the Woodsman I have. I figure with different ones of us having similar models with different thicknesses, grinds, tang types, and handle materials, it may help new people (as well as the rest of us) form clearer ideas of what we are looking for with future purchases

I really like the idea behind this thread and think it will be fun. Will add some data soon. Will need to get a scale for the weights. I think seeing how the weight varies within models depending on thickness, tang style, handle materials and grind will be one of the more interesting aspects.

You Hiking Buddy post just sealed the deal on the model, thickness, and tang type I want for my daughter, whom I am teaching wilderness and knife skills to this warm season.
