Hello Everyone,
I've been wanting to build a friction folder with dual detent springs for awhile now and finally got around to it. I'm calling it a Modern Friction Folder for lack of a better name. The detents engage at both open and closed position with a nice "click" when the blade hits the stop. The detents are built into the interior of the frame so no gaps around perimeter. With the friction on the blade and the dual detents, there is minimal chance that this one will come open in your pocket. Here's the rest of the specs:

Blade is ATS34-hollow ground and satin (belt) finished
Liners are 0.05" jeweled and anodized titanium
Handle scales are ancient stellar sea cow bone
Titanium pocket clip
Thumb stud is heat colored
Overall length is ~7"; just over 4" closed; blade is 2 15/16" tip to scales

Price is $195 U.S. shipping and paypal fees included. Please PM for other payment options if paypal won't work for you. First to say "I'll take it" does. Questions/comments always welcome. Thanks for the look! -Phil Tham

I really like the look of this one. What in the world is ancient stellar sea cow bone? Because I love it. Great job!

Thanks for the comments! Stellar sea cows are extinct marine mammals. Vendor that I got the bone from claimed it came from an ancient dig site.

I really like this Folder, Perfect Blade profile & Good Steel and that Ancient Stellar Sea Cow Bone Is Beautiful !
