Smaller version of a Mountain Man style skinning knife, with a 3" flat ground blade, made from 1095, with an OAL of 7 1/2's. Handled with Thuya burl, and comes with a sidedraw kydex sheath, which can be reversed for left or right hand carry.

I dig this design but it definately needs a leather sheath. Just my personal preferance.

I bought one of your pen knives, and it was the sharpest knife I ever got 'out of the box'. The burl on this is beautiful.

Do you have a site with pics of your work? I really like your stuff.

Really cool, would like to see it with a slightly longer blade, maybe 3.75 to 4 inches. How do you like the feel of the handle?

Is the cutting edge 3 inches, what is the length from tip to scale? Just curious.

I like this......What are the chances of you making another knife with a 6-7" blade to match this one listed ? I guide in AK and need a 2 knife set. Thanks !

Suwannee River Knife on Facebook.

I like the feel of the swayback in hand, the swell fits right into my palm. The cutting edge is just a hair over 3 1/4"s, with tip to lower portion of scale being 3 3/4"s.

I'd lean more towards a cleaver or chopping blade for a larger companion knife. But it can be done.

The 2nd knife would be used for cutting into thick moose quarters in the field during the boning process. A slender , long, yet stiff blade would be ideal. I was thinking of a matching handle to the one listed here to complete a set.

That I can do, it'd be $350 for the set in kydex, $450 for leather sheaths.

ill take it! i bought a couple others from you a few minutes ago and have already paid. Does the leather look like it was made for this or ???? If you can send me a pic of the leather sheath id appreciate it. You have my email addy from my purchase of the lime cutter and puuko and also in visitors messages.
