Modern Refined Design Aesthetic

What knives would you say have a modern, refined design aesthetic?

My choices are: WE Peer flipper in copper
Bestech Thyro in retro blue/copper


I’m curious to see what others think!

I'm not too modern or refined, so my knives aren't either. However, for me, I think the Pro-Tech Terzoula is a good example.

What does that even mean?

Every knife has a design.

Every design that changed is refined.

Every time is modern. Until it isn’t.

Every knife has an aesthetic.

So a definition might help.

Those are both hideous. Just a mash of various design cues put together willy nilly.

I thought I knew what you meant, until I looked up the WE knife.. IMO here are a couple modern, yet “refined” with clean looks…
The Hogue Mysto and the Tactile Maverick


Classic knife designs with intricate textures and milling patterns, titanium, strong locks and of course Magnacut steel

Maybe I'm not understanding the prompt, but to me, a modern and refined aesthetic would be something futuristic but minimalist. I'm thinking of knives that look modern because of their subtle but unconventional use of contours, but aren't overwrought or full blown sci-fi. Something like these:

That last one fits for sure. To me refined does not = flashy look at me knives. Those are fine too but they're not refined.

Form follows function ...and that's beautiful and attractive , to me .

High performance at great value prices .

Novelty , joke , artsy , fantasy , and /or knives primarily made to look good on hanky pic social media ...I don't need or want .
