Recommendation? Modern slipjoint

DLT Trading has some neat knives by J.E. Made that are various incarnations of a modern slipjoint. This is the Zulu and I have a New Yorker. Word of caution though: Although they look like the might be one-handed opening, the pull on mine is very strong. It might break in to be one-handed eventually.

Not a slip-joint but not a locking knife either also just over the 3oz limit but the Viper DAN knives are a very interesting option along the lines of the OPs wishlist.

First impressions are very good
The ergonomics allow a good grip even if I would have liked a slightly bigger choil
But that is my only complain about the knife

It is a great slicer
It can be opened one handed
The slip joint feels very secure
I have been surprised by the 2 step detent which block the blade in the middle when opening and closing but that is contributing to the feeling of a secure mechanism

Actually it is really growing on me and it rises my interest in modern slip joints

One other option.
I really like the UKPK, and I also really like s110v. The frn is not so bad, but still...
So - consider after market scales. This is an old pic:

I have some in denim micarta, natural micarta, as well as the koa shown above. Will meet all your criteria, including total cost. If blade length is too much, you can do the same thing with a spyderco urban.
