Modern take on a traditional pattern, with a modern steel!

LOVE the material choices on this one but the screws are killing the design for me. I think it will be priced well though. Nice SFO by Mike :)

Thanks Mike. The look is fine by me. It's the feel to it that matters.

Funny I just took the pic of the Loveless/Lone Wolf City knife this morning and was pondering where to put it, Traditionals or General? It's a traditional slip joint manufactured using modern materials and production methods. Still it's a Wharncliffe blade in a traditional frame with traditional trappings. So thanks for a place to post the pic of one of my favorites EDCs.

Nice knife Ted. I particularly love the wear on the lanyard.
Glad to see that it is carried.

What's securing the bead, glued leather wedge?

LOL exactly :) I used that glue that's activated with an ultraviolet light, stuff works great for things like this where you can apply the light.

The traditional classification is a pretty strict one. Would this knife still fall into the traditional category? Has it crossed the line? Like putting a pocket clip on a slip joint, its not considered to be traditional anymore .

Then it just comes down to perspective, figuratively and literally.

If the clip is on the pile side and you view a picture of the show side, you would think it a traditional.

But to some, the addition of a clip isn't too far fetched as it would serve a similar purpose as the clasp and dangler on a boy scout knife.

That being said, I view this a modern knife that is traditionally styled.

There were slipjoints made 80 years ago that couldn't be "traditional" if today we started defining aspects of construction that precluded them. Screws, varying steels, etc.

And let's hurry those along..If it'll help I drive down to Italy and load them in the box for you. I really want that CF preorder to ship. 😁

Picking up a Benchmade Proper made me think of this one. It now says "Coming Mid June 2017". I'm looking forward to getting one.
