Modified BK-9!!!

I've done some more work my BK10. I've vhanged the plastic slabs for Mahogany...

I carved them to fit my hand perfectly and they have been great to work with so far. Since taking the picture I've also ground down the finger guard so it's closer to the wood shape now.
 
Very nice! I really like it. How is does the blade do for corrosion with out the coating?

I hand rubbed an Ontario Spec plus down to #2000 and left it in its sheath in humid Japan for 6 months, no rust on it al all :confused: :D

I've had no trace of rust so far on any of my carbon steel knives. I keep them clean and it if it's wet outside when I use it, I dry it off on the leg of my trousers before I sheath it and then clean it properly when I get home. I'm thinking of getting some of those cloths that are impregnated with protective stuff. I can't remember their name at the moment. :confused:
