Modified/Customized CRK Photos

Thanks. It reminds me of the LDC Sebenzas. I was hoping when I bought it I would find out that CRK's did the flutes as a test for the LDC's but sent it to CRK's and they said they did not do the work. Still love the knife!

What exactly are these LDC Sebenzas? Other than the horizontal milling what makes em special? What does LDC mean?

I actually dislike pocketclips. I refuse to carry with one. I get leather belt sheaths made which is my preferred carry method.

Found the P years ago loved the handle profile, large thumbstud relief cut in the handle specifically. Also no pocketclip is perfect, no extra filler tab and screw.

I didnt want to carry the ats34 blade being it was pristine and mirror polished. So i asked crk if theyd fit a new blade. They said send it in and theyd look into it. (Cant remember the exaxt date on that think it was in '11 or '12?) Well it came back with a fresh s35vn blade stonewashed and ready for work.

Carried it like that for a bit and happened across the seb 25, instantly fell in love with that one. All my others got shelved indefinitely.

I put the original blade back in the P and made a shadow box for it with a Chris Reeve signed cloth and kept it on my desk. The s35vn blade was put in a reissued crk box and packed away.

Moved some boxes out of the basement after a water line leaked. Somehow dropped the box (white box...) into the snow where it popped open and blew away leaving the s35vn blade naked and afraid in the salty dog bathroom until spring...happened by one morning and a spearpoint blade lay in a puddle...thought for sure i was losing my mind...sure enough it was my 'worker' P blade...

Called up crk to see if they could refinish it, sent it in but they said it was too far gone and that production had shifted so they wouldnt be able to make another blade as a replacement...bummed...fortunately anne decided (by some miracle) to make an exception and processed another blade for me (blade #3) So out of the shadow box and back into service it went. The original blade went into my safe...no more boxes in boxes in basements or offices.....

Crk sent the fubar'd blade back as well and it served as a paperweight for a few years and then ended up in my junk drawer, lost but not forgotten...until last night....

I had some pcb acid and vinegar mixed up from reetching a damascus fixed blade for a friend and got to thinking.....a quick dip in there might freshen the old paperweight back up.

Did a quick google on blackwash...nail polished the important bits, 15 mins in the acid, a dip in normal water, then 10 mins in baking soda. 90 mins in the poor mans tumbler with media and wd40, 10 mins in iso propyl, 15 mins on the edge pro and its back into working order!

So now ive got the ats blade, s35vn normal and the blackwashed 35vn as well....

I will look to see if i can find a pic b4 i blackwashed it....for some reason i only took a pic after the acid bath....

I misunderstood your original story and thought you now had four blades for the P sebenza! Thought you had two spare S35VN and then one of the spares got damaged so wound up with a fourth! Your expanded story makes a lot more sense! And you might have the only P Sebenza with S35VN blade in existence!
