Been wanting to try this for a while and finally got it done. It's a basic linerlock design except that it doesn't use a detent ball bearing to keep the blade closed. Instead, the backspacer doubles as a spring to keep the blade closed...like on a slipjoint. I know this is not a new idea and has been done before by some custom makers and is also found in several production knives. I thought it was a neat idea and had to try it. I like the way it keeps the blade closed firmly, but it does make it a little harder to thumb open. There is no tension from the spring once you get the blade out of the handle. Anyhow, here's the rest of the specs...

Blade: ATS34; 2 5/8" tip to bolsters; hollow ground from 3/32 stock; satin finish
Bolsters: Raindrop pattern Mokume Gane with a very nice patina
Scales: Impala jigged bone
Liners: 0.050 jeweled Titanium
Backspacer: Two pieces of titanium sandwiched together...also serves as the closing spring
Stainless Thumb Stud with Onyx stone inset
Overall length: 6 1/2"; 3 3/4" closed

Price is $325 shipped CONUS. Paypal OK. First I'll take it does. Holler if you have any questions and thanks for takin a look! -Phil
