but ARE they for sale?!he he
Hi Arden, if you're interested in one please send me an e-mail and we can talk specifics.
You make Loveless style knives and have never handled a Loveless?
The whole idea of this gambit is that people can't get real Loveless knives and need a clone knife to fill the perceived gaps in their collection. That is why the "Loveless" market is hot right now and the "knives that kind of look like Loveless" market is not so hot. These knives are obviously well made and very nice looking. It is also clear that Mr. Lin is trying hard to make Loveless knives. He is getting close, IMO. That is an admirable task that very few have succeeded at.
I missed the part about the "modifed" and "beefed" up, I apologize Mr. Lin.
No apologies necessary, I've been making Loveless-style knives since January 2009 (making big ol' fugly choppers in 5160 before that -and still do because I believe they do have their uses) ... so I'm relatively new to this and appreciate constructive criticism. I'm also learning to be very thick-skinned -especially after visiting Bob several times in his shop already.
No, never even seen one in real life, let alone picked one up
I've studied a picture or two though!
My dream knife is either a Loveless or a Lovett drop point with green canvas Micarta. Just need to win the lottery first....
Mr Lin is indeed doing a fine job:thumbup:

Thank you Ian.
