Modified Mariner on ebay. Interesting. . .

Browsing through ebay, I found an auction for this Mariner. As you can see, the blade has be reground for a sharp point. I find the idea intriguing, personally. I've always been a fan of a nice, pointy Wharncliff.

Has anybody else seen a sheepfoot Spyderco modded like this? Obviously, it negates the intended "tipless" nature of the knife, but the resulting profile is quite nice, in my opinion.
 
Not that degree, but did have STR "wharnify" this Atlantic he customized for me. Handles are stabilized birdseye maple scales over titanium liners.
