Very cool. I like the patina. I tried the same to a Vex using mustard and vinegar.
I personally can't stand the look of the upper guard. I can't think of a practical reason you'd want it on a knife of this variety. Most of us aren't fighting with our knives, so the guard seems like it just gets in the way. I've seen the threads with the alternate methods of getting your thumb on the spine, but it just seems silly. You can point your finger down the spine to slice, you cant lock your thumb on the spine while choked up in the choil... I just dont get it.
