Gentlemen: For your consideration is this modified version of the Loveless Stiff Horn. The Loveless version is quite beefy, weighing in at 5.7 ounces with wide stainless bolsters, .190" stock, and a tapered tang. The modified stiff horn is designed to be an every day carry, finesse knife and slicer, weighing less than half of the Loveless version weighing in at 2.3 ounces, with its hidden tang, G-10 micarta guard/thong hole, and .120" stock. I've also dropped the cutting edge 1/16" below the ricasso to allow more sharpenings without destroying the blade profile. This can easily serve as a bird and trout knife and a superior slicer - the .120" Magnacut blade has been slightly hollow ground with a 12" wheel to further reduce the weight - it's light as a feather and well put together. The blade is hand rubbed to a 400 grit satin finish. The tang extends 3/4 of the way into the handle and is set with G/flex marine grade epoxy and a stainless pin. The stabilized Cottonwood handle is highly figured with beautiful chatoyance. The black G-10 guard has black & white G-10 contrasting spacers.
