I saw a reference to where somebody did this. I'm looking at the Ryobi 4X36 and want the option of putting a 2" belt on it. Anybody know anything???

You can put a 2" belt on it if you like but don't spend to much money on it because it will let you down Ryobi is not known for it's durability .

I have a 4x36 Ryobi. Had it 3 weeks and the drive belt broke, replaced it with a heavier duty vacuum cleaner belt and VIOLA no more problems. I have seen a pic where someone converted one to run a 2"x72" belt I will see if I can find the link.
