Modifying Boker knife

Hi everyone, first post here. I hope this is the right forum.

I am in the market for an inexpensive (<$40) folder with a wave-style opener of decent quality and nothing out there now really looks good to me. I already own A buck rush 290 and a buck survival knife with a 8.5 in blade.

I found the Boker plus roper and thought of cutting the hollow hump at the base of the blade so it will catch the lip of the pocket like the wave opener does.It also has a reversible pocket clip so it could be carried tip up.
I'm wondering if anyone with more experience can see any glaring problems with this idea. I have a dremel and really nice files and I think I can make a finished looking knife with those.

Are there any other knives that could be a goo candidate for this modification? Maybe something slightly bigger?
Anyway heres a picture of the knife:
