How do I get my big pictures to show up...big?

Any other forum I just paste the IMG URL in the message body and voila.. full size pics.

Do I need to use the “Insert Picture” icon and paste the IMG URL in that way?

Just tried using the insert image icon and no go - same small size as just pasting the URL in the text body.

Do I need to “add media”?
 
Those pictures are all the same sizes as you uploaded to your site, so it's not resizing on our end. Try uploading them to imgur.com and you may have better luck
 
Well I'll be - it WAS that stupid image site resizing, despite me "making sure" it wasn't resizing.
