Ok, Pelican 1010 Case freaks unite!
I set up this EAGLE Industries drop leg multi pouch system so i could pick and choose what gear i want, depending on where i'm going. Each compartment fits a Pelican 1010 Case or similar case. One P1010 case for firekit, one P1010 case for FAK, one for small tools, flashlights, sewing kit, misc etc, one for one for rite in the rain booklet, pencil and compass, one for snack bars, shelter/heatsheet, GPS unit , rope etc. I can even fit a small SS cup into one of the pockets, and inside that cup put Triox bars, boiulion cubes, coffee /tea bags, spoon, etc etc.
as pictured, i only have two Pelican 101o cases in there, i cant find the rest of my cases. But you get the idea - six Pelican 1010 cases , pick and choose, insert and GO.
The platform can be worn slung over the shoulder with an aux strap , worn on the belt, strrapped to the legs and waist belt as a subload platform,, or MOLLE'ed to a pack or MOLLE vest.

the lower right pouch holds a SS cup with food bars, tea puches etc inside the cup. One might add a tiny alcohol stove a bottle of stove alky....)
bottom middle pouch holds a pair of army issue wool gloves. The lower left pouch has a firekit, and behind the firekit tin, a Rite in the Rain boolet and pen/pencil.
one might also use the platform as a beer can holder......
holds six cans.
