I'm looking for info on forging Mokume for bolsters etc. I'm just getting into forging and would like to read up on it. Any help? Thanks.
 
I believe that there is a section on making Mokume in the book "The Master Bladesmith" by Jim Hrisoulas. If you are just getting into forging, I would strongly recommend you get both of Mr Hrisoulas books. The first is "The Complete Bladesmith" They are put out by Paladin Press and probably available thru Bladeforums Store. If not you can E-mail Mr Hrisoulas at jim@atar.com . Failing that I would be happy to send you procedural info. by e-mail. It would really be to lengthy for this forum.

Steve Midgett makes a book and video call "Mokume Gane in the Small Shop". He makes mostly jewelry, I ended up getting my wedding band from him, but I'm sure the process is the same nomatter what you are creating. The site for the book and video are: http://www.mokume.com/bookvid2.html
