Mole jacks

sooooooooo no one else has mentioned it, what the heck is with the fusion pommel shadows across the satin finish of the fsh????

it gives it a nice industrial look. I'm curious if jerry could do a custom air brushed technique on an actual powder coat blade like that, similar to the ones seen on the custom swamp rat forest leaf camo blades.

that's a good question, and i've almost posted pics before to see if anyone else had noticed that on theirs. that's my HOGFSH, it came to me as a user and was sterile with the black coating. i decided to strip it and wanted to give it a satin finish, but after i stripped it i liked the industrial look of it and decided to keep it like this. the other side looks pretty good, a nice brushed satin finish. when you look at this side of it, it looks like it was finished the same way, and then someone did some bead blasting on it. i always wondered if they coated some of the blades that didn't quite make the LE cut, or if after doing some brushing and bead blasting practice in the shop they were sent for coating. regardless, i like the look of it and plan on keeping it as it is.

wich do you like better, the fusion or ergo handles?

i like the fusion handles better. the ergos are a little thin for my taste and not quite as comfortable, although they certainly aren't uncomfortable. it's strange though, because on my outlaw i really do think the ergos are a great fit. it doesn't make sense, but they seem more comfortable on that knife than on the other ergo handled ones.

i was playing ghost recon advanced warfighter II last night and had to use my molejack to cut some shrapnel out of my beer.

I guess I should have been more specific, but those of you on the SFNO/Tyrkon passaround - the SJTAC is actually a naked mole jack. ;)

The Molejack is one of my favorite yard, utility & work blades. It's great for heavy duty cutting chores I used it to cut the old carpet out of my house, open bags of lime, grass seed, and concret.
This knife if a slicer. it's liteweight, feels great in my hand.
Any chopping I need to do, I break out my HeavyHeart.
But for general cutting it's hard to beat the jack.

that would make sense... I'd love to see a more detailed finish in that style later on

I really like the SJTAC.

It's a great fighter, an all-around field/camp knife, and a nice size to carry around.

If I could only have two Busses, I would have to have a good chopper like a Heavy Heart or FBM and a CG SJTAC.

Great reason! The SJTACs are awesome. Similar size to some other blades (I got it and a SRKW M6 at roughly the same time) but it feels very different. A lively and quick blade.

It's not quite as pretty as the SJ (my ZTSJ) but it feels a lot more lively.

More love going out for the SJTAC!
