Mole Population Increasing

Well, the fakers had a great weekend.

What an explosion of fakery.

Now Buck......you should seriously consider hiring a student intern to send the faxes on fakes--weekdays and weekends.

That intern would have some spare time and could then assist Joe with history matters.

Think about it. Win/win.

;)

BG42EDGE, let me save you some time, this is going on across all manufacturers forums on this website and other knife sites right now.

Go to the Chris Reeve forum here and check out the too close for comfort post or just go to www.chinaknifes.com and prepare to be pissed off, shocked, mad as hell, flat out stunned, down right flabbergasted. You will need to check the ENGLISH format box in the upper right hand corner and then go to brand zone. You will see all the models from all the manufacturers that are offered and all are counterfeits every single one of them, the site even links directly to manufacturers websites like Bucks, Chris Reeve, et al.

China is not our friend, never has been and never will be. BUY AMERICAN

There is no doubt in my mind that Buck is aware, and hopefully it will encourage them to speed up the process of getting out of offshore production.

Thanks for the info......I'll take a look

Maybe that's why I don't get any response from Buck.......maybe they don't even bother anymore.

Well, true......but how does anybody know if a particular knife of this model has been produced in a plant for Buck or produced totally separate from Buck with Buck getting no share of the first sale profit?

Who knows for sure where they come from or where they go?

Maybe they run "1000 for Buck, 1000 for us, 1000 for Buck, 2000 for us, 1000 for Buck,".......etc.

Or maybe another factory is making an identical copy.

Apparently there are no government safeguards to control it.

I think Buck made a mistake by allowing people in China to get hold of their specs so that identical knives could be made.

From what I was told, BUCK has someone over there supervising the construction of the knives. That, however, doesn't mean there isn't some funny business going on when the person isn't looking..

Or some guy takes the information and starts his own factory with identical equipment a few miles down the road.

Yes, it's gotten so bad over the past few days that about every fifth auction is a fake when you search for Buck knives.

I'm going to assume that Buck is aware of this new level of fakery and assume they're set up to send a fax to e-Bay on these ...... or they've just given up.

Either way, they don't seem to be paying any attention to me, so I'll also assume I should ignore the fakes.

They're just the tacky-cool type knives anyway. If they were selling fake Three-Dotter's or 121s I'd be more concerned.

:D
