Molle Packs

Oh well, it would have been nice for it to be made in the USA, but for 100 (compared to 200 or more online) bucks and pretty much all very positive reviews, I'm happy with it.

As long as it survives the zombie apocalypse.

I used to think like that too ;)

+ 1 for Kifaru

My Pointman BOB and BWM play well together and are certified Zombie proof!

Like Busse, Kifaru aint cheap and you have to wait, but it is a lifetime investment.

My Eberlestock Fac-Trac seems overbuilt and the only complaint I've heard from other owners is that they are heavy....I like what the Viking, Herger the Joyous, from "The 13th Warrior" say's when Antonio tells him the sword he was given is too heavy and he can't lift it.....Herger shrugs and says', "Grow Stronger".

I humped it a couple of weeks ago and I don't know if it was the pack or the gear I had in it, but it did get heavy by the end of the day....A HARD reminder I'm getting older and need to grow stronger too!!!:o

The pack when it was new along with some rats...

Stump Buster, that's a nice set up you got there

I'm going to have to take a pic of what I have so far sometime

I can't wait for the Lost Mountain Multi-cam sheath to come in for the Battle Rat!!!

Those LMIW sheaths are nice, when the SAR 6 comes out I might have to get one for it.

looks like it came straight out of Bravado's safe. ;) That thing ever even been outside?

(nice rig)

To which "thing" are you referring?

If you mean the knife, yes it has been outside and knee deep in birch, cottonwood, alders, etc a number of times.

If you mean the Kifaru, yes it has been outside. It is only a month or so old but it has been out for hikes around the area to fit it and has logged miles tossed in the back of my rig so it is ready to bug out.

I hate to ask this after seeing the Kifaru but does anyone have experience with the 5.11 tactical rush bags?

Not personally but I've heard positive things about them. I own quite a few 5.11 products, and have some of their MOLLE gear on my maxpedition pack, and they're built very well and of decent quality materials for the money. I wouldn't shy away from them, and they're considerably cheaper than the Kifauru/Mystery Ranch offerings. That being said, I am considering a Mystery Ranch bag now.... :D Give it a shot, 5.11 is a great company to do business with, and they have pretty good customer service as well. I like to order their gear from LAPolicegear.com, they typically have some good freebies with 5.11 orders.

As for other brands I would avoid the Condor packs if you are seriously going to load it up with gear. Their packs feel like cheap Airsoft grade stuff.

Okay, finally snapped a few picks of my setup. I still haven't figured out what all I want to stuff in it yet though.

Right now I just have my RMJ Eagle Talon and my NMSFNO strapped on it (which might get replaced once the SAR 6 comes out), along with a double grenade pouch from Blackhawk! that has a battery containter and a headlamp. And once my hog patch comes in from Progunner, it's going right in that velcro area right there.

Another look at it, with the 1911 showing :D

And a look at the insides. I just have a tobacco tin that has a boresnake and some lube in there in one pouch. In the other patch, there's a BHK batwing and some hanks of paracord that are leftovers from projects that I didn't want to throw out.

Sorry for the crappy pics, inside lighting sucks.

Oh, Ridgeline, remember at the 1500 when you asked me if I was scared to fire the Kimber with the Busse grips on it? I fired a 100 rounds through it that Saturday. It feels great, it's more comfortable to shoot with some tequila.

So it took me razzing you about it to shoot it? :D Well if that's the case, I'm proud. I'm glad it's comfortable, it looks nothing short of awesome. Nice pack BTW, pretty sweet setup.

M67 - that is an awesome gun. and that tomahawk is badass. how is it? do you use it alot?

I use it whenever I can, most of the time I make up excuses to use it like hey, that needs tomahawked instead of knifed and stuff like that. Or like this old charcoal gril, I could have thrown it out, but I had a perfectly good tomahawk lying around so I figured, what the hell?

I really like it, this was a Blade score from back in June, the Busse table was packed and you needed a cattle prod to get in (DAMN HOGS!! ;)) and the RMJ booth was pretty lonely.

I went with the Talon cause I'd been looking at them for years, before the Shrike came out. Plus, I like the added length. It weighs a ton though, which is surprising if you've never handled one before. All of the RMJs are nice though, and being one of the first to handle the Jenny Wren and the Loggerhead shrike was pretty cool. You really can't go wrong with one of these.

And I've used it more since then. I had a particle board table lying around that needed burned, so I hacked it up with this. That was a hell of a work out. The g-10 scales are sharp and eat at you a bit at first, but you get over it eventually.
