It's a Case Russlock drop-point in alpine green synthetic. I'll post pictures when it arrives.

I think Mom would smile. I hope somewhere she is smiling. She would like the color.

I think I've mentioned that she was the toughest and bravest person I ever expect to have met. She was also the most patient, least complaining, most compassionate person ever.

She even had her obituary and death certificate information ready for us.

I felt I had to announce this here, the center of my e-existence, but didn't want to derail the lounge with condolences.

Sincere sympathy for your loss, Jer.
Your post is a touching tribute to your mom. You must have many good memories, and your new knife will be a fitting memorial, too.

My condolences, Jer. I hope your new Copperlock brings a smile to your face, and sparks fond memories of your mom.

Now watch, I won't get any condolences.
Loosing Ma' is always a pain, more since she was such a stout character. Life goes on, but never the same again.

Sorry to hear of your loss ... prayers and thoughts for you and your family.

And it's kind of cool that your mom would appreciate your knife purchase.

I'm very sorry to hear this, and I give my condolences.

When my grandfather died my dad bought a knife that he kept in the glove compartment of his vehicle to remember him by, it was a cheap knife from the local flea market my grandparents frequented but it was a patriotic one because as a rough and tough veteran of the second world war my grandfather was a very patriotic man.

Buying a knife in a color your mom would have loved is a good way to honor her knowing you'll carry it and be reminded of her.
