Monday desert hunt

Usually thats why I don't post pics of the dead animals, it starts arguments....

No worries maethor, in Utah and Nevada you can hunt jack rabbits/coyotes every day of the week 365 days a year and there is know license needed.

But I wouldnt call it a sloppy hobby.....

I know it isn't for you, but I heard from several people in the US that they sometimes go hunting for a weekend, once or twice a year.

Just depends - some people may only go deer hunting, and could very well only make it a few times. I know a lot of folks here that will take a week off from work to deer hunt, and that is the majority of the hunting they do all year.

I have had years where I would go with my family over Thanksgiving vacation and due to work, etc, that would be my only hunt of the year. Last year I was in the woods a lot and hunted squirrel, deer, coyote and turkey.

If work would let up, I would like to be turkey hunting now.

Y'know, this disagreement isn't restricted to cross-ocean cultural differences. There are TONS of Americans who *despise* hunting of every type and/or are totally ignorant of everything about it, and whether it's for food or because sometimes it's fun to blast holes in animals that are everywhere like rats... it doesn't matter. Big disagreement. Dunno if that helps.

:confused::confused::confused:

This is the 5th or 6th time I have been out this year....

I know, that's what I was trying to say. Hunting isn't a sloppy hobby for you. You go out fairly often. There are however people that go out for a weekend a year. You are not one of those people, alright?

Stupid language barrier.

If I may. Think maethor was pointing out that Flexxx seemed to be a real and dedicated hunter as opposed to many who just make it out once or twice a season and claim the title. Pretty sure that was praise and not a shot.

Personally speaking , I can't imagine myself shooting animals - pests included - and calling it "fun" (even that I know that poisoning pests is way more suffer inducing to the animal , not to mention the ecological disaster it causes) . However , coming from a region where animals are being slaughtered to satisfy religious traditions , I can accept that other people will find satisfaction in hunting (as long as they're not hunting endangered species , or demanding products made of such) .
IMHO , both hunters and hunting-opposers should accept and respect the existence of the other side , and both should condemn and act against illegal hunting , and damaging nature in general .

Edit : just killed a mosquito with a single hand . Now THIS IS FUN !
