Monday Evening with Hmong Knife and Purna Chainpuri

I'm with you in the 100 dollar range on a good day but disagree on the value of a farm knife.
Don't recall ever seeing one that low and they usually go fast.
They are big with a lot of metal and considerable labor like most other HI knives. But you having had one, you already know all that.
Curses to the scoundrel that stole yours.

I'm probably close to Ndog's pile now, basically got one or two of everything. I just go for rare items, limited item runs, or one offs, now.

Of course, if a lightweight crosses my path, that's an entirely different story.
Yep. We're prolly pretty close eh? I keep them spread out nowadays so the missus dont get no ideas where my money is going! Knida like when your kids spread out their food on their plate to make you think they actually ate something. Desert time! We all know that dont work but ya gotta try somethin:D

We all don't have as deep pockets as you George. :p

Already bought over half a dozen HI blades in the last few months myself. I am completely tapped out you know...unless a lightweight M43 pops up...or another 18" Fox Folly....or a Thamar Tin Chirra....yeah....saving my non-existent pennies for one of those in case they pop up. ;)
BTW Aleous, Yangdu told me Kumar is making some thin M43's. Should get them in this summer!

You got it! Man that was my screen name before the internet was invented. I worked for a little startup company called PC's Limited (now Dell Computer) and we had a little mop closet literally about 4' X 4' with a "server " and we'd communicated via this server on a bulletin boards. If your not at least 50 years old you prolly dont know nothing about bulletin boards. Id sit up at night next to the my bed at home connected to this machine at work in a closet communicating with friends etc. from their homes till I couldnt stay awake anymore while the wife was continually complaining (as usual to this day). I thought that was the coolest thing. Nonetheless ndoghouse was born. I thought it was appropriate and to this day I still use it.

I still dont have an M43 but sure would like to get one soon! Id like to have a heavy one though like 32-36 oz. Im still waiting for the right moment.

Yea, we're probably pretty darn close. Wife don't like it much, but as long as they stay in the garage, in my storage area, she's fine with it. Of course, whenever a triangle box appears, I get the "stare", or serious "rolling eyes", but at least my skin stays attached. Might have to sleep with a garbage can over my head to protect my jugular that night :D, but other than that, not too bad.

im finding out everyone is getting that "stare" when another box arrives. Then the sarcastic remark......never no what it gonna be but I always try to prepare! Mine yesterday was, "these are for my granddaughter. Great kitchen knives." Then came the rolling eyes and a snarky look
