Nice snag. That was a nice pic with the textured black/blue g10. I stopped at the orange g10 after Jade was gone. I panicked and Pushed the button. I forgot to scroll down and find the black/blue.

I was thrown that the Production Update says nothing is available this week, yet there are 2.7 2nds available...
 
I'm torn... I could order a 2.7 now (they are still up) and cancel the one I have on pre-order Hate to be a jerk for $14, and make Ellie go through the trouble. Ahhh well... I will be patient for the one on order an take the seconds as a positive sign that knives are moving along.
 
Jeez......... the haters definitely don't need any more fodder for how confusing it is to obtain a GSO..................

I'm sure there's a reason behind it and SURVIVE! isn't my company, but with the recent shenanigans I wonder if any steps could be taken to make what's on the website truer to reality. Maybe I'll have more thoughts on this for another thread.
 
Gotta say, I'm thinking another option to add to the How to Buy page should read "check all categories under the Knives heading at least once every three minutes."
 
WHY... Just ordered one with green canvas. I have a4.7 Cro sitting in the mail box and a 6.0 that should ship when they get made. I guess this little guy will round it all out.
 
I'm just assuming that there are too many cooks working the Survive webpage at the moment.
 
Grabbed a 2.7 CPM-20CV Factory 2nd just now. Couldn't pick red linen, but black linen with black sheath with black fasteners worked great.

It's probably as simple as tying the sales website into an actual inventory control system. Recognizing fully, as a web developer and designer, that 'simple' here refers to the concept, not the execution, which is more complex than it seems on the surface, particularly when time and money to throw at the problem are at a premium.

I'm sure it's more complex than I realize. I was thinking if the item descriptions stay static then that wording could be changed.
 
I am totally puzzled as to why the 2.7s are still available. Are they not popular? Lots and lots available? Or my nightmare, there was a website mistake and oversold the seconds😰?
 
I'm suspicious this model maybe just isn't as popular. As small as it is, I personally will carry a folder first. But I do have one on order all the same and can't wait to get it!

Dunno about everyone else, but for me the utility of a fixed blade knife under about 3.5" is trumped by the convenience of a folder. At smaller sizes, the handles get small enough that any gains in relative toughness by going fixed are offset by the fact that I'm unlikely to be using a tiny knife for anything requiring heft. I keep my folders for detail stuff.

Conversely, I think huge beefy folders are... silly.
 
I wonder what orange and black G10 will look like?
Only one way to find out, buy another knife!
This has been a crazy couple of weeks. :)
The upside is that between the Ugly Bettys and the 2.7 I'm still not out that much money. ;)

It wasn't a very popular option until more recently (I blame Al Welke for all the great pictures). I will keep it in mind as I'm ordering in the future.

It has been hard to know the best course of action lately. There weren't very many so they would have sold out in less then 5 minutes and then we'd be getting slammed for not making enough of them available. We don't particularly like people being mad at us so we were just testing things out to see if a quiet sale would go over a bit easier.

Keep doing what you are doing. No matter what someone will voice how they are unhappy (way of the world now). You guys are doing great.
