id like to see the shredded money on a knife... or at least a piece ground and finished ... could the resin be dyed different colors?

Hopefully we shall see some on a knife soon.

I can dye the resin most any color though I feel it may take away from the "money feel" if you know what I mean.

Interesting. But isn't destroying U.S. currency illegal? Are you using real legal tender? (I'm not a cop ;P)

§333. Mutilation of national bank obligations

Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 700; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, §330016(1)(B), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2146.)
Historical and Revision Notes

Based on title 18, U.S.C., 1940 ed., §291 (Mar. 4, 1909, ch. 321, §176, 35 Stat. 1122).

Words "or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System" were inserted because the paper of such banks has almost supplanted national bank currency.

Reference to persons causing or procuring was omitted as unnecessary in view of definition of "principal" in section 2 of this title.

Minor changes in phraseology were made.
Amendments

1994—Pub. L. 103–322 substituted "fined under this title" for "fined not more than $100".

Well isn't that neat! I really want some of these, but I'm getting out of the knifemaking business for a while. Still, pretty cool.

I turn pens and things with "money" blocks. It makes really neat items. Just think of the things that one might cut with a money handled knife...some of them are even legal:)

Order sent.

Is this a normal weight compared to regular micarta or would u say it's lighter or heavier....do u have any bigger blocks not cut yet for a bigger size?...ryan

Stacy,

I would live to see some pens turned from any one of my materials. Im very excited to see what you'll come up with and, of course, thanks for the order!

Ryan,

Thanks for the interest!

I would say this material right in line with the rest of my products and unfortunately it is all cut into smaller pairs right now. I will make sheets and half sheets for custom orders if you're interested.

Laminates arrived today. Looks good. I'll send and post photos when I get some handles made.

I got some red shark tsunami to go on a tacti-tana and it should really look good.

Suggestion - It would really be great if you made the fire hose material in two and three layer thickness ( 1/4" and 3/8"). I can see all sorts of knives that it would be great on if only it was thicker. If I had three sets of 1/4" fire hose scales, I would make a set of kitchen knives and donate them to my local fire station.

I have done 1/4" before but I sold out a while ago. I currently only have some Firehose that is white with a red stripe running through the middle. I would love to make some up for you to donate to your fire department.

My thought, though, is that you should see if they have a hose they are no longer using and would like to give up for "recycling". That way they can have some knives made from their own Firehose!

I can't wait to see the pics of the other materials by the way!

This is awesome! there's a maker of rings on instagram @whatever_louie I think is his username, and he makes shredded money rings. A knife or some gear would be cool to go with what he makes
