I'm guessing the missing blade is a sheepsfoot, and that's what I'll look for unless you guys have a better idea. Bought it today, after some anguish.

You would likely get better answers if you posted a pic so that we know which bullet knife you are talking about. Upload your picture to a hosting service such as Photobucket. Then post the IMG codes in your post.

Thanks. I think I did that as you were answering. At least I see it.

If you wrap your link in
you will get this:

R4243 Bullet knife. Its missing the small sheepsfoot blade.
Fantastic- Thanks. I'm surprised to see that this model should have a lanyard bail, of which mine shows no sign.
I also see that this would be worth money if it were complete, but it isn't. Is there any reason I shouldn't chop this up and replace the sheepsfoot with whatever I can find or make?

Here's the modern Camillus version from the 1990's:

I'd say get one of these newer ones - you can still find them for $50.-$75., and save that old one. Or you can maybe have a maker here make & install another Sheepfoot blade for you.

Thanks. That's a handsome Camillus. My old one will go in a drawer for now. As long as it isn't sacrilegious to work on such a knife, I'll replace the blade myself one day. I'll probably have to make my own, but I'll keep my eyes open at the flea market for the right fragment.
