The design of the Montana Bowie is of a classic cowboy era Bowie. This one is made from Damascus steel right from the shop of Alabama Damascus made right here in the USA. This steel is a layered blend of 52100, 15N20, 5160 and 203E steels and folded to give 416 layers which not only make a great looking piece but one with excellent cutting and edge holding functions. I buy the steel in bars then design and make the blades. To this I have fitted a richly colored elk antler handle and leather spacers to accent the classic look. Although the tang is hidden I’ve paid extra attention to keeping it nice and full as it goes though it guard and extending well back into the handle before tapering down towards the pommel. This is not one of those knives with a skinny little tang right behind the blade. The pommel is then screwed directly onto the tang of the knife. All together this gives a very strong knife that can be used without fear of failing. This Montana Bowie has a guard and pommel that are made of 416 stainless steel. I've taken extra care in the fit and finish of the handle and guard to give this Bowie a very high quality crafted look. The Montana Bowie comes with a heavy 8 to 9 oz. tooled brown leather sheath.

Specs:

.172 inch thick Alabama Damascus steel differentially heat treated.

Overall Length about 12.5 inches

Blade Length is 7.25 inches long from guard to tip and is 1.7 inches wide.

Handle is an elk antler with stacked leather and a 416 stainless guard and pommel. This hidden tang design runs all they though the handle and threaded to the end cap pommel.

Tooled brown leather sheath (shown).

SOLD (Price is $265 plus $10 shipping in US)

Very classy classic Kelley. I like the girth of this blade and your bold damascus and fittings.

epic knife man. love it and its size... too many times people make the bowie too large where it cant be a working knife.. this can be.

edit : whats the handle length?

Hello Army of Nobunaga and thanks. I made a typo on the blade length it is really 7.25 inches not 4.25 and the handle is 5" long. Kelley
