I always use USPS/Canada Post. But I did not know I was being shipped anything, (thanks again Moose) so I could not ask for USPS instead of UPS. Oh well, it should be okay once Moose changes that info and the price comes down a little.

Probably brokerage fees. I used to get hit hard buying from the U.S. and shipping U.P.S. Then I had motorcycle parts from New Yawk shipped U.S.P.S. air, and avoided the gouging at the border.

Well, a few days ago, UPS said the final cost would be $42.00. But Moose said he would change the value of the item(s) so the cost would come down, but that ended up being a bit more of a hassle then it was worth, so we decided to just pay the charges as they were.

When we called UPS today to pay the fees, they said they had faxed Moose (the seller/sender) the other day asking for a new value, and without a new value from the sender (Moose) that they could not give us a final cost, so we cant pay anything until Moose gives a new value.

Moose valued the parcel at $75, which is over the $60 limit on gifts. If he valued it under $60, the charges would be decreased quit a bit because it is a gift, not a sale.

I have already emailed Moose, telling him what has happened and what he needs to do, to let us pay the charges and get his/our package to our door.

We should just buy Canada, and call it North USA. Perhaps a land annex is required. :D:D:D:D
