First let me appologize for not having any pictures. I was in an old anitique shop with no camera.

A large bowie caught my eye. It was a fine patterned Damascus blade about 10". The handle was swirled grain wood like Cocobollo (I know that's misspelled) but it was lighter. It looked very old as the Damascus patterned seemed light or faded. He had it sitting on a display with a print out of a knife that looked almost exactly like it, although it was not the knife in the picture. The pictured knife supposedly went for $1750 on ebay, and he "only wanted $1000" for this one. But if you looked you could see they were not the same knife. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful knife, so I asked to handle it. It was well balanced and very solid. In short I would have loved to have it, but not for a grand. The only mark on the knife was the name "MOORE" on the blade at the hilt. Anyone heard of this knife? If anyone is interested, I can give you the name and number of the shop. I believe this guy is an ebay freak who talks the ebay talk but doesn't really know what he has. He was on ebay the whole time I was there. Anyway, if anyone knows what this knife is, I would love to know just for curiosity's sake. And if anyone wants it just let me know by reply here and I'll give you the contact info.

thanks
