I'm a freeloader on here so can't use the search thingie to find anything. Does anyone know anything about these knives? I'm lookin for a good EDC trapper with carbon steel blades to save wear and tear on my Granddad's old Case, which is my EDC knife now.

Well,I think, they are good knives, but I think you can get similar quality for a few bucks less, that may be better for you :D
Some of those MooreMaker knives are pricy for what they are,but then again they do have the lower end/priced models in thier line up But I think the trappers are generally more than a Case

I have a small sodbuster that I got as a "seconds" knife. Obviously the fit and finish is not great, but it's not bad considering that I've seen other "first-quality" slipjoints with similar flaws (bone scales don't exactly match, and the backspring is not flush when it's in the closed position).

OTOH the 1095 blade takes an excellent edge. And the yellow bone handles look and feel much better than yellow plastic.

They are expensive though, and I wouldn't pay full price for one of their knives, unless it was something that I just had to have.

I just did a quick look on the net.It seems a Case Trapper would save you some cash,I'm sure they have one in carbon. As far as weather it is better than MooreMaker,IMO,both or any production knife Co. is going to turn out decent knives & some less as decent will fall through the cracks & get passed thier QC So,IMO,go for what you like the looks of,size, etc. All brands (decent ones) will have better or worse examples

I just received a single blade linerlock trapper with natural smooth bone scales yesterday from Moore Maker, the cost was $44+ shipping. The fit and finish are excellent ! The only thing that could have been better is that it was not real sharp. I can fix that easily. I also have a couple of Case trappers, but I think I will like the MM better, and was probably a little cheaper.:)

Mooremaker still has those even ended trappers. A tad pricey and they have some maroon bone ones.
I just looked at mooremaker. There's a trapper called the cowboy and it has two spey blades. Never seen that before. I have two Mooremakers and like them just fine. The olde Camillus ones in horn. Tight and stout.

Obviously, the Queen MooreMakers are nicer than the Camillus / Bear models. But for low-end carbon solutions all (to include Case) are very nice.

Nice ones Hawk! I don't have any Mooremakers but if I did those would be the ones I'd pick. I've been needin a good Muskrat for a while.

I don't think that their garantee is as good as case or buck. I just sent on of theirs back because I was not satisfied with the f&f

Of all the Moore Makers, Queen included, my favorite are the Camillus made ones in yellow delrin or black water buffalo horn. Mike (Knife Swapper) still has a very decent selection at his site www.collectorknives.net

That would be my recommendation.

I just got in a new Moore makerJumbo Stockman 4 1/2" , and it is my new favorite knife. Just got a second one ordered which I am gonna have rehandled in stag. I personally like them a lot.

I carry a Queen Moore Maker stockman all the time, and I really like it. Very well made. It's in the middle here:
