Just got this today, picked up two different whittler patterns and decided to part with the Moore Maker one from 1999, very nice knife solid on all three blades. It has a split back spring so the two come together for tension for the main blade. Fair warning it is a strong back spring because of this that added to the nail nick placement makes it a strong pull to open. The other two are much easier and all three blades are solid when open, no play whatsoever.

3 1/2" closed
Main blade at 2 1/2"
Small clip at 1 5/8"
Coping blade just a shade under 1 3/4"

The shields on both side show as being also pinned as well, nice touch with that.

Main blade had blade rubbing marks so I did some sanding to make it more a satin finish on the main blade, far better than it had looked...trust me

Thought about trying a second nail nick but after oiling it up a bit I think she's fine, still a strong pull but ok.

Well I took matters into my own hands and attempted to grind in another nail nick, which now allows the knife to open easier but looks wonky ....

Opening this back up at a drop in price to $75 shipped, solid knife, still a strong pull on the main, but the nail nick I added helps a lot with that, while not the prettiest nail nick, it does the job. I just have Two whittlers and like the stag on the other that much more so this one needs to go to a good home.
