Found a couple MM’s I forgot I had stashed away. Both very decent examples, and I believe they are the ones Albers did right before he went out on his own entirely (someone kindly correct me if I’m mistaken, please). Anyway just thought I would share, and leave a spot for others to post theirs up. Not sure what I’m going to do with them just yet, but they’re nice to ogle.

They look beautiful! What material are the covers on the lighter colored one?

I believe we’re looking at ironwood dark and bois d’ arc (sp?) light.

Moore Maker generally contracted good quality knives for many years!!
Queen, under Bill Howard's supervision, made a lot of them!!

Yes they did, and those are some very fine examples. The equal ends always hold a special place with me. Thanks for sharing!

i think i tried to get that ridiculous etch off, didnt work sadly. was too deep.

I tried the same with one I had prior to these. It’s very deep. Only thing I could do was lighten it, but it’s still very visible on the blade.

There is Albers design in this...a lost history 😄

This Linerlock Trapper manufactured by Queen in 2009 after Bill Howard left yet very well fitted. Interesting to note a shield on both the mark side and pile side.

They apparently did that with several of their styles.... I have a "sowbelly moose" that has shields on both sides....

I'll see if I can find a pic of it....

Here is the other one I had (pictured with the 1/1 above) that was a user. It had really nice F&F and was smooth as can be. A great knife all in all. Ended up selling it to my boss (I still regret that! ;)) after using it for a few months. He carries it from time to time, so I still get to see it every now and then:thumbsup:
