I received some wrought iron in the mail this week and had to give it a try on a guard. It came from an old grain elevator in Superior Wisconsin. I added some moose antler that has been in my shop for a while and hammered out a piece of 5160 to with them.
5160 steel flat ground to a 600 grit and then etched to a dull finish
Moose tine handle with a thin water buffalo spacer
Wrought iron (or "rat arn" as we say here in the south)
Overall length: 7 3/4 inches
Blade: 3 3/4 inches
Riveted leather scabbard
This knife balances slightly heavy to the handle and the curved antler fits nicely in the hand.
$140 delivered to the US or Canada. My PP account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I will also take USPS money orders or checks with time to clear.
