Moose the promoter - Becker BK9 vs KaBar ZK War Sword (PHOTO HEAVY and EPIC)

Hawaiianhawk - No one is more happy than me that the blade came out fine. I'm a fan of hard use, but not destruction tests, so I'm glad it didn't end poorly :D.

I forgot to add the part about firesteels, and a section on the handles. They'll be up shortly.

Really appreciate the great review. Ordered the ZK your review weighed heavily in my decision. Thanks. Great Job!

Glad I could help out man, thats why I do them.

Let us know how you like it, and if you have anything else to add to this review once you get it :).

Well, the Ka-Bar just arrived. I've been going over it for the last 30min. My first impression is: Great value for the price. The blade is sharp, thick steel and you can feel the weight. I personally like that. I like to feel the weight of a strong blade in my hand. The epoxy powder coating is very nice. Looks cool too. Overall balance is good. feels good in the hand. Not good or bad but because of the blade length and handle design it naturally feels like a chopper as opposed to a cutting tool. Kind of like a machete would, but it does have a nice point and would do very well thrusting. But again because of the handle you would be more inclined to swing it then thrust it. Overall very pleased!

Negative: The Zombie "Acheron" Skeleton knife that comes with it is a tiny little thing. was dull out of the box but a few passes with the BM pocket sharpener did the trick and I shaved some arm hair. hey, it's a freebie add on so really doesn't matter. Also, the puke green handles have to go, so it's nice they included a pair of black grips. will change as soon as I find my wrench set.

Now the only thing left is to field test. Next Zombie I see will do and I will report the results imediatly.................

Thanks again for your review! Really helped in making my decision!
