Well, now that the secret is out (I've had mod powers for a little while, I just went red last night, LOL), I guess we need to start this off with a little fanfare.

With all the posts depicting "stories" about knives, I have really been enjoying them quite alot. And, I want to see more. PAY HOMAGE TO THE MODS!!! So, this will be my contest, and mine alone. :D

Here's the challenge, post up your best story with knives as the lead characters. The knives are not limited to Beckers, but Beckers must be involved. You must have a story line, but you can create your own, or use a movie, or a book, or whatever you want. No personal stories, we need to be able to identify the characters.

You will need to post up a new thread for each entry and mark it as a contest entry, chatting in the threads is allowed, but you are only allowed 1 entry into the contest, so make it good.

Some ideas are the Matrix, Indiana Jones, Punisher, Batman, Superman, and so on, use your imagination, best story and depiction wins.

The winner will get his/her choice of a BK14 ESKabar or a Gold Membership to Bladeforums.

Let the contest begin, no sign up required, but feel free to ask questions and chat in this thread. THIS IS AN OPEN CONTEST, ANYONE CAN COMPETE. MUST BE 18 AND CAN OWN A KNIFE The contest will run for 2 weeks from today, and will end on January 22, 2011.

Eskabar sat back in the overstuffed easy chair, his feet on the desk. Thick rich smoke drifted up as he puffed on a cigar,one of many from the latest shipment. Pressing a button on the desk, Eskabar paged his security leader, BK9. A few minutes later, BK9 and his shorter stouter security driver BK2 entered the room.

"ESee's", said Eskabar, "we need to get the Esee's on our side to form a hit gang in the Northern region". BK9 nodded and said "yes Boss Eskabar, I will go talk with the Esee's".

BK9 and BK2 left the room and headed out into the projects near the east end of the city. Along for the ride was BK7 and BK5, Eskabar's money men and dedicated fighters to the cause. They drove thru town in a beat up old pickup truck, weaving thru the throngs of villagers. After an half hour of awful roads and a near miss with the local Policizia, they arrived at the Projects.

The Projects, a filthy section of town, also known as the The Slums. Hundreds of derelict buildings, tin shacks, shantys and poor people, but also a region of violence. The local gang was the ESEE's, who had been fighting the Policizia for 30 years over control of the Fatwood trade.

BK9 waited at the gate, well aware that the ESEE's had already had him in their sights since they rounded the road leading to The Projects. BK9 was well known here, he had grown up in The Projects, after his mother had been murdered in front of him by the Policizia. BK9 started running Fatwood with the ESEE's when he was 9 years old, carrying Fatwood in a basket on his bicycle.

A shout snapped BK9 out his memories, the gate opened and several ESEE gang members appeared. They greeted BK9 with enthusiastic slaps on the back, it had been a long time since they had seen BK9. Once inside BK9 and his crew were taken to the ESEE leader, known as "Brute".

Beers and food were brought out by Brutes mother, Patrol. After meal, Brute and BK9 lit cigars and wandered onto the roof, overlooking The Projects. "it has been a long time BK9, since i have seen you. How is Eskabar treating you?" he asked. "He has been very good to me Brute" said BK9. "Good good, i am pleased to hear that" said Brute, "It was hard losing you after the raid by the Policizia, but i understand your reasons to go into hiding" . "So what business does Eskabar wish to conduct today?

BK9 outlayed the plan to merge the ESEE's with Eskabar's gang "The BC Wrecking Crew", also known as "The Cult Of The Fatwood Eaters". "There would be significant money involved", BK9 informed Brute, "you will retain control of your ESEE's, and profits from the Fatwood harvests will be split equally, as well, you will have more protection and a much larger territory."

Brute nodded, thinking. After a few moments of silence he spoke "BK9, it has been many years for me in this Fatwood drug war, I am growing weary and old. Perhaps it is time for a change. Tell Eskabar I accept his offer, on the condition that my son BK10 assumes my leadership role when I die." BK9 shook Brutes hand, "I will Brute, thank you, now let us go drink more beers and celebrate!"

They left the rooftop and descended into the courtyard of The Projects. A bonfire of Fatwood was lit, the thick black smoke mocking the Policizia soldiers outside of the walls of The Projects.

BK-2 in his pack, but he forgot his tent!

Now worries, he's a helluva survivor
like Bear Grylls, but with a spare tire!

It got cold so he made a lean to
Then he dug a pitt so he can go poopoo

Allas, now comes the problem
He had no paper to wipe his large bottom.

Being a master at the art of bushcraft
He cut his pants clear in half.

He then lay there exposed and embarrased in the silt
Then he jumped up and shouted; "No problem, I'll call it a KILT!!!!"

Funny, but where are the pics? I want pics to go with the stories, look here,http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=806879. Something like this is what I want. Make them good, I would really like to see someones version of the Matrix, or Indiana Jones. That would be awesome.

Tony, you my friend are a poet. And who is that handsome devil in the pic? Your more handsome brother?:D

We need some stop-action movies, like the old Claymation stuff. Complete with voice-overs and special effects.

There was no way Moosey was going to pic me as a winner, so don't count yourself out yet.

Besides, I just one an Eskabar from ESEE, and I am allready Golden.

I just saw a good opportunity to prod da Moose:thumbup:

It was pretty damn funny though eh...

I see I'm not the ONLY kiltie in the Beckerdom.... Well I'm bad at telling stories so just for giggles.

OK, perhaps I didn't make myself clear on the contest, I want you tell a story using knives as the main characters in PICTURES do something like a movie remake or something, but tell the story using words, pictures and have knives as the main character, in the same style like a couple of threads that we had posted recently.

Read these threads if you haven't already, and this is what I am wanting to see done, but not the same story, make one up, or steal a movie. Post it up in its own thread.

Black Watch variant, the Black Watch Weathered from what I've been told. Universal tartan. I just liked the colors in it. Makes for a nice hiking kilt. Still trying to trace me roots in Scotland. Record keeping wasn't all that great back then.
 
This will be a fun project! I could definitely go for a Gold membership. ;)

I have a Black Watch, interesting. It looks different. Yeah, I gotcha on the roots thing, it was easy for me, I started competing in the Scottish Games and they found me, LOL.
