It was a simple alphanumeric substitution cipher. Would have probably taken considerably longer if it had been offset by a few, by the way. The tactical hint gave it away. cbwoods and I were in the thread at the same time.

Got done with work and started cruising the forums that night. Turned out pretty well for me, haha.
For anyone still wondering, the cipher was in the ESEE forum.
The (advanced) search function is your friend.
