I gave up too. There must be an easier way than clicking through each page (you can only go back 25 pages anyway) and then clicking each post that is too long to read all of it...........

cbwoods is the winner, he officially got it before the first couple of hours, which, by the way, is a major disappointment. I was hoping it would take longer, but when you got the best in your forum, you gotta step up your game.

Guess thats what I get for creating a contest while drunk. Its always worked before..........

It was a simple alphanumeric substitution cipher. Would have probably taken considerably longer if it had been offset by a few, by the way. The tactical hint gave it away. cbwoods and I were in the thread at the same time.

Got done with work and started cruising the forums that night. Turned out pretty well for me, haha.
For anyone still wondering, the cipher was in the ESEE forum.
The (advanced) search function is your friend.

so for those of us following along (barely) with the home game, what was the link to the edit? i'm curious what the "cipher" was
