Ok, the Ol' Man on the Hill is dealing with some stuff right now. We won't get into it, but let me just say, he' old. And pretty used up. :D

So, since this place is a damn Ghost Town lately (I hope ya'll are out doing stuff......), we need to liven it up some.

So, here's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna give away some steel. I haven't gotten this approved through Kabar, so, I might wind up paying for these things out of my own pocket, here's to hoping I'm on good terms with the Bald Bagel Eater.

Pretty involved contest, pay attention to the rules and guidelines, they might get tricky.

Here we go:

Go outside and do stuff with your BKT or Kabar knife, and take pictures. Then post those pictures in this thread. Date stamp the pics.

And just to make sure I got your attention, here is what one of the prizes will be,

Now that I have your attention, to win the Sterile Prototype 4, you have to sponsor a new member here on BFC. Basically, get a buddy or relative to join BFC, and post up some pics of their BKT/Kabar in this thread. You win the Proto, they get a new BKT/Kabar knife.

Oh I'm in, mofo!

Ok, I'm sponsoring my buddy Pat. We've been friends since early on in high school, probably around 15 years now. Not the longest of my friends, but definitely counted amongst the best of. He's my only local buddy that's also a veteran, that's a pretty big deal. He did the cold weather challenge with me and I couldn't stand him toting a Spec Plus knife anymore. He now has a BK10. No idea what his screen name will be yet, but he was in the guard, so probably something tactically fruity.

Edit: Pat has joined, he's "Muzzlebrake". He'll post something this weekend.

Here lately we have been having a lot of storms and rain. This has had a negative impact on a couple of my cherry tomato plants that I didn't have cages for. So here is the first thing I've used my new BK7 for, tomato stakes.









Also, went to a friends farm this afternoon (Sat.) for about an hour to throw some lead. While there I got FOUR TICKS off me!!! I decided to introduce them to my BK11, needless to say they won't be bothering anyone or anything else. I didn't think anything about photos till I was leaving. Here's a couple targets shot fairly quick- XDS 45 & G19 both @ 7yrds. and a NEF R92 @ 4-5yrds.

Hard to believe another week has come and gone.

Today I decided to get rid of a small brush pile of lilac and red bud limbs that I've been mowing around all summer. Used my BK11 for starters, and to sharpen roasting sticks. Might as well eat lunch while doing yard work, that's multitasking (no photos of that camera battery died). Used the BK7 to chop up limbs to manageable size for the fire.

So, I will be editing and adding, but for now at least: Went fishing on Wednesday with my brother and had my 11 with me.

No, I didn't catch a damn thing. This was also the first time I've been fishing in 17 years.

Had to GTFO of town so went camping/fishing with my brother.

Here's a camp set up requisite bk-9 is in the picture, had the 15 on my hip all weekend.
