  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Mora 106 as a regular knife/edc?

I have a couple of these Moras sitting around but I just bought them to get the sheaths to use with my Cold Steel Kitchen Classic paring knives. The handle on the Mora doesn't do it for me (too slick, wrong shape not terrible but not any where near what the CSKC are. KreyEx with diamond texture FOR EVER !).
The CSKC are very thin and have decent German steel and come hair whittling from the factory. Why two ? One toothy and one polished edge. I love these things.

I do have one of the carving tools (a bit shorter); I prefer the bare wood for better grip.

Hey . . . my bubbinga wood dining table is looking pretty good there. I need to remember to show people this photo when I try to show them how fantastic the grain and colors are.
I can't capture it when I am trying to photograph it.
And no dye or stain, can you believe bubbinga ? I did use ruby shellac as a slight glaze while French Polishing it but that was just to help bring out the red veins down in the wood; put on paper it would just kind of make the paper pinkish. Most all that color you see is THE WOOD. And why I am so fascinated with bubbinga.
