Any fans of the Mora 545 here. I would call it the SS brother of the 510. I have had good service from these as well as the Stainless Steel Clipper. Sometimes I just like the easy maintenance of the stainless Mora's and have not really found that they lack edge retention compared to the Carbon Models. What say you?

Here is a pic, I keep my 545 in the kitchen. Makes a mean slicer, wife uses it all the time.

Yep, Thats the one. I love the darn thing. Great cutter and no rust worry. You just can't go wrong with these knives. they cut as good or better than most 100.00 knives. Add easy to sharpen and good edge holding ability and they are just hard to beat. Also when you mislay one it's cheap and easy to replace. I Convexed the edge on a couple that I use strictly for hunting and they really hold an edge well.

Look up Ragnar's Ragweed Forge; you'll find loads of Moras there. That's where I buy mine

I like the 545 a lot, I havent experienced any drawbacks compared to the carbon moras.

One of the guys from the Sandvik mine who posts here said with the small well distributed carbides and fine grain 12c27 is very tough for stainless and comparable to carbon steel. I think they were speaking about carbon vs stainless mora's, but I cant remember exactly.

Great ideal! I can get another 510 plus a 545, and put them both in the kitchen side by side in a butcher block holder. I would use them equally and see how they both hold up.

And I was afraid I had no further excuses to buy more Moras. :D

If they would make more colors I would have to have one of each.:D I have not noticed much difference between the Stainless and Carbon Clippers for durability of the edge.

There is always a reason to buy another Mora:D I'd have a 510 in the kitchen as well...but the wifey is not one to wipe a blade dry after washing it, that's where the 545 stainless pays dividends.
