Mora beware - here comes the Hultafors

I'll stick with the moras. The attempts by people to downplay the supporting china vs. sweden are amusing. They are made by machines therefore there is really no difference? Right. If there were no difference then why outsource?

If anyone feels the need to let your dollar do your talking then fan-freaking-tastic, good for you. But then talk about it any chance you get on some forum.
You may just turn the economy around yourself! :D

Tell you the truth, I would just buy a mora for the rock solid rep and decent steel. But the main deciding factor would be price, every place I've seen the hultafor that I'd just searched for was around $20 total.

Also, I think that in a few decades china is going to be devastated by all their pollution. And maybe their workers will keep having strikes and get a decent wage finally.

Man, though I understand your concerns about about spending your money in China, the thread was about the knife. Yes I know, it was me pointing at the low price.

BTW, does anyone here use a Fenix Flashlight, or an I-phone, or an I-pod, or a COMPUTER?

Lots of political talk in here..I will say, what about America? Are we actually arguing or even joking about buying Swedish or China?? Come on.... Anyways..Mora doesn't have to look out IMO, I have owned both, and I will take a Mora any day, the Mora holds a much better edge.
Hey.............................I'm going to concern myself with an evaluation of the knives alone. So I don't get hung up on how a knife got to be what it is and only address what it is, for working purposes Hultafors come from Rup and Moras from Rah......................................Righty, how did you get to that conclusion on the Hultafors? They seem just as well received as Moras of a comparable type here. Whilst Mora does has some more fancy version both ranges that fall in the “disposable trade tool – 3 for £10” have always struck me as indistinguishable for all practical purposes. It's totally plausible to me that you've used them on something that really exaggerates any differences and makes for a much better test though, cutting felt springs to mind. What materials were you working them on?

It was quietly known that part of the reason for Nortels failure was due to Chinese hacking for technology. An ongoing cold war that the west fights every day.

If I have a choice, I prefer to avoid a Chinese product. To each their own though.
