Mora Fans !

I've looked at them a few times but have yet to pick one up. One of many on the "want list". And inexpensive enough that I'll probably try one sooner rather than later. Anyone know if there are carbon versions, or just stainless?

I own a marttiini it has a thicker blade, takes a good edge and comes with a much better sheath, but has slight play between the blade at the guard and the handle, maybe just a bad example. Other wise I really like the knife, and for $15 I still can't complain.

If there is a carbon version, I haven't found it.

Edited to add: at least on that particular style of Marttiini knife.

I have four of their knives. I like the handles and sheaths better than the Mora. Their blade material is very good.

I have the 450012-Hunting model.

Mine has the Marttini name etched on the side of the blade, but was actually sold under the Normark brand. It came with a good edge, retention is very good and it's easy to re-sharpen. Corrosion-resistance has also proved very good. I find the blade a little narrow, but it's pretty practical, probably make a good boat knife. I really don't like the sheath though, it lets down the knife IMO, and I've always meant to get another.

I bought one. Don't remember the model, but it was the black handled version with black leather sheath. The handle was a bit tight for my hand, so I gave it to a friend who liked it a lot.

They are decent. I prefer other brands but they suit my needs well when in the woods.
