Mora Military vs. Cold Steel Finn Bear

I like and have both. I actually use my Finn Bear more, mostly because it's sheath is not a plastic, phallic looking tube. My Mora is sharper by far, and much more comfy in the hand. Just like my little Finn though.

I just looked at one of my Moras, and, yup, that sheath is lookin' pretty darn phallic.

I'm considering painting it to match the shape, but I don't think the mods would like if I posted pictures...

In fact, there are a lot of things I want to say right now that the mods probably wouldn't like, so I'm going to restrain myself, and hope you get a giggle anyway.

They do kind of , ahem, suck, the fun out of some jokes to keep it family friendly. No offense mods. I know you got a tough job just keeping me in line....:D

One of my most used knives is a CS Kudu in Krupp 4116 steel. The steel takes a very fine edge and is an easy strop back to health. It also seems to be quite tough as well, because I punish that Kudu. However, back to the OPs' question.

A Mora is one of the best camp knives that I have seen, especially the HD and the 2000. For around the camp table and meal prep, I don't think the Fin Bear can be beat.

sometimes, it makes me really wonder
why any company would try to
"reinvent the wheel".
or "re-engineer" an existing classic.
but getting back to the question posted.
I would have to say that the mora makes the perfect knife
for its price, design intentions and purpose.
Someday, when I have actually held and used a cs finn bear,
perhaps i might say the same then.
