Im looking for a good bushcrafting knife but I dont want to spend to much. Is the Mora a good choice? any imput is aprecciated

yeah, knifenut1013, knarfeng, and ElectricZombie got it right. and ditto knifenuts link, look around, theres a lot of good stuff there besides Moras, ...I have a couple Moras, I have their 760 and a #2 Carbon Steel. For a low cost I don't think you can go wrong....But I am waiting for my Bark River to arrive :p

moras are awesome. Ive found their stainless steel to be quite impressive in edge retention and ease of sharpening. My favourite models are the 545(ss) and 510(carbon). I have had good experiences buying them from bensbackwoods.com

Everybody should have at least a couple! Right up there in the knife per dollar test.

I have a Frosts Mora Clipper Carbon Knife 840, very happy with it. Phenomenally inexpensive, light, hand-friendly, easy to sharpen.

Welcome to Bladeforums.

Big thumbs-up from me, particularly the wooden handle models which have full-length tangs.

I've batoned mine through all kinds of wood hell and they have held up great. I have the plastic handle variety, and they're great. The stainless is awesome as mentioned before. It can take and hold a razors edge for quite some time. Just occasional stropping does it for me. I like to make little half millimeter curls in newsprint to show how good it really is. Can't go wrong...if you treat it like a knife.

I agree with the #780 triflex. Carbon steel differentially tempered. That's what you get in a custom knife for only $11.

I own a #780 triflex and it kicks a$$...that knife cuts and is tough as all get out for super cheap. Suprisingly tough blade for not much coin.

I've "re-made" three Mora Triflex (I hate plastic handles and sheaths) with
wood handles and leather sheaths. Yes, the blades are great, tough cutters.
