Morakniv Virgin!

They are great knives, I have had a few old craftlines rattling around in tool boxes, for the last few years with little use. Yesterday I grabbed one and used it to cut carpet out of my house, sliced through like a champ, and took only a couple swipes on a ceramic to have it popping hair again.

...Mora knife!..I was never interested... Now I am wondering why I never chucked one of these in the toolbox, tackle box, truck and kitchen! I know most of YOU know, but the ergonomics, steel and scandi...
The little knife that could,
It kindsa grows on you, don't it?

Man i love moras! They are one of the main knives i recommend to my non knife friends, as they dont break the bank and give you a great product. Ive owned about 5 different models and have love them all. They make a really good fillet knife as well. Ill have to check out one of those carving knives, ive been getting into woodworking as a little side hobby lately.

I like to buy Mora blades and do a handle on them. Such a cost effective way to whip out a good knife when a friend asks for a knife "made" by me. I'm kind of partial to the laminated steel blades.

My bad. The info says both sides, but all the pix show the conventional chisel grind. Nothing like a Razel.

Wait... huh? Which Moras have laminated steel blades?

Laminated MORA blades exist for a long time. Here is a laminated MORA WW2. Small, but it works as big.

WHOA!!!!!! Somehow I have always missed these! I had no idea there was such a beast.

Great... a new thing to lust after...

Finnish knives had no guard. When I had to swipe the knife was kept. I love Finnish knives and MORA in particular

I remember someone telling me that Moras are so cheap and available in Sweden that some use them as disposable knives! Use them until blunt and toss'em! I'm way too Scottish to throw good steel in the bin though.;)

Yes, mostly true in the construction buisness.
Sometimes I find dulled & chipped Mora's at the recycling station.
After a resharpening, they give years of good service.

Regards
Mikael

Uh Huh, No guards. That is why I like to buy blades and put my own handles and guards on them. Ragnar, at Ragweed Forge is my source.

Highly recommend these knives. Own the companion in stainless , cracking knife . Recently brought the new Garberg , be it on the Black Friday Special offer and I am glad I did. Stainless blade, sharp out the box, good weight, nice handle not to short or too aggressive, just right in my hand , typical mora fit and finish in other words fantastic, the way you would expect a quality product to be, and to top it off a quality leather sheath. It's a no brainier in my book. Looking forward to the Christmas holidays, all the best Faron.

I got bitten by the Mora bug early this fall. Now I have several, and they see more use than anything else in my collection. I EDC an Eldris, which is just about the perfect size to live in my pack and augment my SAK-of-the-day.
