This stuff is 1/2" thick by 1-3/4" wide. I was figuring on cutting it to whatever length will fit in a flat rate USPS box, which would be about 12".
Each piece would weigh about 3 pounds. Asking $10 a piece. Plus flat rate shipping, which is around $8 something.
Obviously, unless you have a power hammer or lot's of energy, you'll probably want to pass on this.
I just sent a sample off to be analysed, so you'll know what's in it. I'll post the specs here (and in Shop Talk) as soon as I get it.
For what it's worth, the knives I made from this stuff cut very well.

Thanks,
Phillip

I would almost go for that... But I don't have a power hammer. And I don't think my arm would appreciate me trying to forge that down by hand:)

i might be persuaded to forge it down to 1/4", but of course I'd have to charge more. :)

I can fit all I have in one box. I don't know how much I have. i have some annealing in the oven right now. When it's finished I'll weigh it and let you know.
BTW, the pieces I have are not 36" long. So some of the piece will be 12", the others will be less. Is that ok with you?

I think I understand. I am looking for 3 pieces about 10-12" each, totalling about 36",right? Cost is 10.00 plus $8.00 shipping?

$10 per piece. Actually, I'll just charge $3 per pound, since they're odd sized pieces. I can definitely fit 3 pieces in a flat rate box. 3 of the longer pieces weigh about 8 pounds. So the total would be $32.

Dang...Been distracted the past month because I found out that I am being relocated from GA to Michigan for my "Day Job". Effective Nov. 1!!!
Cannot remember if I ever sent you a check!?

If not, do you still have some as we discussed above?

Rick

That's ok. :) No, you haven't sent me a check yet, (or I haven't received it) and yes I still have quite a bit.
I forget if I gave you a total. Never mind, I did. :D
